Good morning Floodwood students and staff. Today is Tuesday, January 2nd.
Please stand and join in the Pledge of Allegiance.
I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Good luck to the boys and girls basketball teams in their home games tonight against Silver Bay.
Knowledge Bowl Practice will be Thursday during SH lunch and after school in Mr. Tollefson's room.
There will be no homework help with Ms. Fjeld after school today.
Attention Seniors and Juniors, Dollars for Scholars application deadline is coming. To help you with the process, there will be an application working session on Tuesday, January 9 for seniors and Tuesday, January 16 for juniors. Some things you need to have ready before this working session are:
Set up a private email other than the school's, know the address you want materials sent to, your Social Security number, personally contact two people that will write a reference for you and give them talking points, employment history, activities list, leadership skills, and community involvement.
The National Honor Society will be hosting a school wide food drive for the Floodwood FST Food shelf January 8th through the 18th. We are asking students and staff to bring in nonperishable food items that will help those in need. The class with the most donations, determined by weight, will have a choice of a pizza or ice cream party. Boxes will be handed out for collection at a later date. Get a head start and start collecting your cans now!
Today’s lunch is Tacos, lettuce/tomato, refried beans, and fruit.
Tomorrow’s breakfast is Breakfast pizza, fruit cup and juice.
Paws up to the students caught roaring with pride…Thank you for setting a good example to students and staff!
Congratulations to this week’s Polar Pride Prize winners! You can come to the office to claim your prize.
Have a great day and make good choices!
